WELCOME

Welcome to Oregon Hope Chinese School (OHCS) Mandarin Kids!

OHCS Mandarin Kids is a certified early childhood Chinese Mandarin immersion program for age children 3-5. Our comprehensive program provides high quality Chinese language and culture immersion through music, art, games, pretend play, storytelling and other daily activities. Our teacher to student ratio for the preschool class is 1:7 and the Kindergarten class is 1:8.

Mandarin Speaking Emphasis

OHCS's Mandarin teachers are native speakers, and degreed and experienced early childhood education experts. Daily emphasis is placed on listening and speaking practice to enable children to develop a native accent and keen listening comprehension skills.


Mandarin Reading Emphasis

Studies have shown that young children, ages 3-6, are capable of recognizing words. OHCS's strong and proven reading program enables young children to develop early literacy in Chinese language by regular exposure to Chinese characters and sentences.

Our goal is to allow students to absorb language naturally and prepare them for further studies in Hope Chinese Charter School, a K-8 public Chinese immersion school, which admits students through a separate and distinct process.
